Back-lit or rim-lit can be a nightmare. I use the spot meter in the camera and pick the place that I'd like to be correctly exposed. And the black leather couch next to the bright of the window are so far off as to what a "proper" exposure would be that there isn't a middle tone.
Light is something I really struggle with--I try really hard to get it right, but I need to know more about how my camera works to do a good job of adjusting for less than ideal conditions
This TAG addict's goal is to turn nag points into TAG points.
I started to blog to record my quest for certification.
My most often TAG subject is an 8 year old.
She was introduced to TAGGING at 22 months old while being house trained with a clicker and M&Ms and often asks me to "click" her when she is frustrated.

Very nice. I have never been to your house, which is just as well. I would probably make off with both the cute girl AND the chair under the window.
I like this one. It's visually very interesting with the sharp contrast between very bright and very not bright

Master Craftsman Uncle Neal made the chair. This photo was made at his and Aunt Ada's house in Lincoln, NE in October.
